EKPO by Olisa Jr

***THIS ITEM SHIPS WITHIN 3-5 WEEKS***

Shot throughout a three-day festival, in the village of Isiokpo, Nigeria, Ekpo paints itself as a photo documentary ode to the traditional masquerade dances and their performative essence within the Nigerian culture, while still embodying the nature of a sentimental journal of home and heritage—a visually articulated piece of work, spawned due to my momentary inability to find the words to capture a memorable event in time.

The images portrayed within this book speak of a village bound by their love for their heritage and one another... members of a community.... members of a family, and the surrounding sentiments and emotions that nurture in an atmosphere much like the enigmatic, joyous scene of Isiokpo.

Self-Published

Hardcover (Matt)

172 pages, 8.5 x 11 in

First Edition of 100 copies

Each copy is accompanied by a private link to the ‘Ekpo’ visual narrative
